You know, I get psyched for every show, but this one is already making my blood pump! This festival is lovingly put together by the folks at the Rec Dept in Millinocket to celebrate the Appalachian Trail, its history & to honor the hikers that cruise through here at this time of year, many of them having walked from GA to ME for a very long time to reach their destination's end at nearby Mt Katahdin. Myself, I walked ME to GA in 1975! To be a musical part of this weekend of events 51 years after I completed my thru hike is an absolute honor. The concert will be outdoors in Veterans Park. (Yes, there is a Plan B in case of rain!) I can't wait to meet all the hikers in town & to hang out with the locals who love to celebrate with them & are so proud of the beauty that draws so many to this area.
