1. TARGET GIGS (Full Details)

SUNDAY / AUGUST 16th / BOREAL THEATER / MILLINOCKET ME / 3PM / 207-560-5256... my longtime friend & fellow musician Mark Miller (fabulous blues guitar player, singer & great songwriter!) suggested I check out this venue. Mark plays here regularly & he loves the space. I followed through on his lead & was able to secure a concert date this August for my debut there. If it feels as good as Mark suggests, I imagine this won't be the one & only time I perform at The Boreal Theater. Please join me for the first show & make me feel at home. Really looking forward to this one!

MONDAY / AUGUST 24th / SCHOONER LANDING / DAMARISCOTTA ME / 4 TO 7PM / with DENNY BREAU!  / 207-563-7447... now THIS is gonna be a "DO NOT MISS IT!" few hours of fun & good tunes. I rarely get the chance to play a gig with the one & only Denny Breau cos this Maine music legend is in demand & always BUSY! I have frequented Schooner Landing for years, enjoying food, drink & a whole lotta great music, but this will be another first for me in August (the other first is listed above at The Boreal Theater in Millinocket.) So excited that Scott Folsom & his team are back up & running for the 2nd summer since that awful fire in 2024. It'll be an honor to be part of the topnotch 2026 lineup of talent gracing the outdoor stage there in Damariscotta. Come on ovah & help us create a stellar afternoon by the water. Bring your appetites too... the food is awesome!

SATURDAY / SEPTEMBER 12th / TRAILS END FESTIVAL / MILLINOCKET ME / 1:20 to 2:40 / 207-447-4091... You know, I get psyched for every show, but this one is already making my blood pump! This festival is lovingly put together by the folks at the Rec Dept in Millinocket to celebrate the Appalachian Trail, its history & to honor the hikers that cruise through here at this time of year, many of them having walked from GA to ME for a very long time to reach their destination's end at nearby Mt Katahdin. Myself, I walked ME to GA in 1975! To be a musical part of this weekend of events 51 years after I completed my thru hike is an absolute honor. The concert will be outdoors in Veterans Park. (Yes, there is a Plan B in case of rain!) I can't wait to meet all the hikers in town & to hang out with the locals who love to celebrate with them & are so proud of the beauty that draws so many to this area.

2. CURRENT CEREBRAL WANDERINGS

July is "my birthday month". I think I milked the warm summer days for as much joy as I could find. Gotta say, there were a few days here in Maine when the heat & humidity were way past comfortable, but the weather here has been kind in comparison to what some others are experiencing all over the country & the world. Floods, drought, wildfires, tornados, earthquakes & more... sending strength & hopes for resilience to all those people who are experiencing any of these horrific weather events.

My birthday gig at Lenny's was an absolute blast! Dan Capaldi & I really clicked on stage & it was so much fun having him sing & add his impeccable percussive skills to the songs we chose to sing. We got everybody singing more than one time & at the end of the night the crowd sang happy birthday to me. All my siblings showed up with their spouses... friends, extended family, lovers of Lenny's, Lenny's staff... all of us were happily connected that night. I could not have hoped for more.

I had a whole slew of senior living shows in the weeks that followed the Lenny's gig. Found time to enjoy a lovely day down at the beach with pals Bob, Sally & Patti before I packed my bags for the Moosehead Lake area to do some hiking. The weather gods blessed me for 5 straight days! I was able to do 3 amazing hikes to soak in the beauty up there.

And so my friends, July has been very, very good to me. I'm hoping that August brings me some equally amazing experiences along the way. Looking at what's planned, I am confident that the opportunities are there for more memorable adventures, musically & otherwise. Meanwhile, I will continue to enjoy my bike rides, my beach walks & more hikes in the mountains. All this & great gigs ahead, too! My summer dreams include seeing many of you at some (or all?) of my shows... & maybe I'll see you on the trail or at the beach. Thanks much for your support now & over the years... this means more to me than y'all can ever know.

Peace,

Steven L'Heureux
