NOVEMBER 2026 & BEYOND!
HOWDY Y'ALL! Rocktober really did rock! As the glorious fall foliage fades away, good things are happening in the days ahead. My one public show this month is on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12th @ LENNY'S PUB in WESTBROOK. November is notorious for no shows for live music... my goal is to beat this trend with your support. Music is Medicine... & y'all know we're gonna need some medicine after all the election drama & before we get hit with the holidays, right? Hope to see you there!

And THANKS for remembering the suggested donation for music is $10 pp in "Phil" the tip basket ("Phil" is short for "fill it up please!")
MONDAY / DECEMBER 21st / FOOTLIGHTS THEATER / FALMOUTH ME / 7PM / 207-747-5434... this will be a very special night... a Winter Solstice Celebration & Candlelight Concert with special guest Eliza Ruth Watson! Eliza had an amazing run of shows at Footlights Theater recently. She absolutely nailed her theatrical portrayal of Mama Cass Elliot (of The Mamas & the Papas.) When I caught one of her shows in July, I was blown away by her voice, her passion & her choice of songs to bring into this production celebrating Cass Elliot's life, her music, her strength & her legacy. Eliza & I decided we'd like to do something together & so now... we will! I want to thank Michael Tobin, the Footlights Theater director, actor, playwright, songsmith, publicist... (you name it, he does it!) for believing in this show & for helping us to get the word out. Seats are limited & selling well already, so reservations are strongly encouraged by calling the theater number listed above. All seats are $25, doors open at 6:30... & y'all can stay after the show for hot cocoa, Christmas treats & an opportunity to hang out with Michael, Eliza & myself to celebrate Christmas & the Winter Solstice! Check out this fun promo Michael created for the show:
2. CURRENT CEREBRAL WANDERINGS
October was an amazing month here in New England... this year's brilliant display of color in the trees was magical! To begin the month, I spent a full week in the White Mountains of NH soaking in the glory of fall foliage from high above the patchwork quilt of colors. I did 4 fabulous hikes in & around the Pinkham & Bear Notch areas... 2 solo hikes & 2 hikes with good friends who came up from the Berkshires. I also played some tunes at "Hoot Night" at the Wildcat Tavern in Jackson... the longest running open mic in Mt Washington Valley. Here are some of my fave pics from that week:

In all honesty, I didn't wanna leave the White Mtns behind when my time there was over. The drive home on back roads was beautiful though & when I arrived at my condo I was welcomed by this lovely view in my back yard...

I played a lot of shows on my return, inclusive of one very special night at Cadenza in Freeport on October 17th. I only play here 3 times a year & each time I do, the warmth & intimacy of the venue & the folks who support this lovely space recharge my batteries & remind me that this what I am supposed to be doing with my time, my life & my creativity. If you have not yet caught one of my shows here, please make note of my next show on February 20th & treat yourself to a night out in one of the best listening rooms around... you'll be so glad you did!
One of my pals said to me recently "there ain't no moss growing under your feet!" I believe this is an astute comment, cos soon after was I home from The Whites I was packing my bags for a trip back through the Whites & into VT to visit friends. I stopped in Wells River VT for a couple nights & had a fabulous visit with friends I had not seen in 10 years, drove south from there to hook up with good friend & fellow musician Chris Kleeman for lunch along the way to Wilmington VT where I visited with another pal whom I had seen in Maine a couple years ago... but I had not been to his home for 10 years either! The weather Gods were very good to me during this entire journey. Here is a shot of the full moon taken my first night in the Wilmington area...

As November unfolds, I will continue to enjoy my beach walks & hopefully some occasional hikes when weather allows. Alas, the picnic table is in the shed for the wintah, but the bike is at the ready for any Indian Summah Days that may present themselves in the next couple weeks. Hope to see some of you at Lenny's & at Footlights Theater... or maybe I'll see you on the trail or at the beach. Thanks much for your support now & over the years... this means more to me than y'all can ever know.
Peace,
